Brandon C. Pensgen Manager, Credit
What I Do at Advance Partners: I am currently the Manager of Credit, responsible for mitigating the risks associated with our portfolio for both Advance Partners and our clients. I joined the dynamic team at Advance Partners in November 2023 and spent the first 16 months of my tenure as the Manager of Accounts Receivable Operations. In both of my roles, I have witnessed the valuable service that Advance Partners provides to our clients and have enjoyed being part of such a highly engaged team. Prior to joining Advance Partners, I spent seven years with our parent company, Paychex, working across various disciplines within Risk Management.
A Little About Me: Outside of work, I live in the outskirts of Rochester, NY with my wife, and our two children who help motivate me to be the best version of myself each day. When I'm not busy being bossed around to play by my young daughters, you can find me in the kitchen cooking or out on the deck grilling. I truly enjoy preparing food, not just for the variety of delicious flavors, but also because I believe in the power of a meal to bring family and friends together. With any remaining free time, you can find me out on the golf course or cheering on the NY Yankees and Buffalo Bills!
Cheryl Barbarotta Supervisor – Administrative Support
What I Do at Advance Partners: I have been with Advance since September 2018 and am Supervisor of Administrative Support. I enjoy supporting my team, organizing all areas of our teams’ responsibility and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Administratively, I most enjoy the executive and legal side of my role at Advance but being a part of our team that works together to meet the needs of the office is also very satisfying. Even though I’ve been in my position for nearly seven years, I find I’m still learning new things, every day is different offering a dynamic and engaging work experience. For me, Advance provides a very supportive and positive work environment that can be incredibly motivating and fulfilling, and will continue to do so, hopefully, for many years to come!
A Little About Me: During the summer months, our fun consists of boating and time spent down at the marina with our family and friends, boating, fishing and tubing around Lake Erie. Somehow, we squeeze in all the summer yardwork, which we both enjoy, and a yearly trip down to Florida, one of our favorite destinations. Last year though was an off year and we went to Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper Canada instead, and it was magnificent. More of a warm vacation destination fan, this was not on my bucket list, but I have to say, it was a trip of a lifetime, the scenery…simply stunning. Between us, we will have our fifth grandchild at the end of June so spending time with our children and theirs is always a good time, entertaining and certainly keeps us on our toes!
